The Shaelyn Band
Chapter 3
House Of Berry Productions
The Shaelyn Band is a Florida-based national recording and touring band capable of shifting from classic soul blues and funk to rock. With their highly energized live shows, the Shaelyn Band has built a strong reputation for bringing passion, heartfelt stories, and a vibrant production of professionalism to the stage.
The band formed in 2020 and has continued to develop and grow through these past few years, building on the foundation of family first and sharing genuine love with each and every heart they connect with on their musical journey. On September 9, 2022, the Shaelyn Band released their self-titled debut album. A year later, on October 18, 2023, the Shaelyn Band released their follow-up second album titled “Juke Joint.” The band was a semifinalist in the 2024 International Blues Challenge in Memphis. Their newest album, “Chapter 3,” was released on June 6, 2026.
Band members include vocalist Shaelyn Mulberry; background vocalist Win Carlson; lead guitarist Erik Guess; bassist Curtis Harris; Tim Mulberry on keyboards, drums, programming, and backing vocals; and the horn section of Isaiah Gaytan on trumpet and Moses Maldonado on trombone. The album is produced by Tim Mulberry and recorded at House of Berry Productions in White Springs, Florida.
The album opens with “Blues Chose Me,” as vocalist Shaelyn sings “there’s something I believe in, that makes me feel at home…I’d rather be on my own, but the blues chose me.”
On “Gumbo,” with its New Orleans second-line beat, Shaelyn chimes “you can have it when you want, but leave my Gumbo alone.”
“Cruise” features Shaelyn as she chants “if you ain’t here for the long haul, I’m gonna cruise…”
“Push” is a bit of funk with the horns of Gaytan on trumpet and Maldonado on trombone, as Shaelyn cries “you ain’t seen nothin’ yet, I’m gonna push…get up, you won’t hold me down, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet, I’ll get up, and I won’t fall down.”
On “Carry On,” Shaelyn moans “I’ll carry on, yeah, that’s my song.”
“Takin’ My Love Back” is an R&B ballad with the lyric “I love you so, darlin’ I’m takin’ my love back.”
“Bet It All” is another bit of funk as Shaelyn belts out “oh, you got to bet it all, bet it all, I’m a businessman, bet it all…” with some great drumming from Tim Mulberry.
On “Make Ya Move,” Shaelyn chants “get in the groove and make your move,” with a melody reminiscent of “Great Balls of Fire.”
“Music Make It Right” is another funky song about music and how it allows one to momentarily escape the stress of life, as Shaelyn bursts “Music make it right, hey, hey, hey, it’s alright, it’s ok, music makes it right…don’t get me wrong, hey, hey, hey, it’s alright, it’s ok, the music makes it right.”
On “I’m Not Ready,” Shaelyn shouts “you can say it always, I’m your baby, but I’m not ready, you may think this might be your day, but I’m takin’ my time, I’m not ready.”
“Debt” is a slow ballad as Shaelyn chants “don’t question my love, I could be your destiny…don’t take too long baby, I could be your destiny.”
On “I Won’t Sell My Soul,” Shaelyn encourages listeners to cherish their abilities and not sell themselves short, as she wails “Who do you think I am…I don’t know what you heard, but I won’t sell my soul…you got a lot of nerve to say, I don’t know what you heard, but I won’t sell my soul…you better watch that soul pressure, but I won’t sell my soul.”
“Slow Blues” features some great piano from Tim Mulberry as Shaelyn howls “no sunshine in the sky, you can’t buy my love, you don’t stand a chance, while one man can’t do it another man can…and I’ll be back home tonight.”
On the closer, “Just Keep Moving,” Shaelyn croons “I know you…time keeps passin’ on…”
The Shaelyn Band states, “We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our families, supporters, and friends for your love and kindness throughout this musical journey. As we branch into our next chapter of creativity and growth, we just want to thank you for allowing us to be who we are and to do what we love for you, each and every day of our lives.”
