Teskey, a rocking blues band, was formed in 2024. Their music includes and often fuses elements of blues, alt-rock, Pink Floyd–esque psychedelia, and jazz. Teskey quickly began playing national shows and opening for famous blues and rock artists, while performing at world-renowned venues. The band includes Brandon Teskey on guitar and vocals, Matt Baldwin on bass, and Brandon Gaddy on drums. In May of 2025, they released their debut album, White Wolf, which included two singles, “Under the Sun” and “Upside Down World.”

Backed by an impressive arsenal of vintage guitars, frontman Brandon Teskey (lead guitar and vocals) captures the sweat, fire, and emotional depth of a band that is quickly becoming one of the most exciting new voices in modern blues rock. The album features a re-energized mix of tracks from their debut and brand-new songs from the forthcoming album Blue Dreams. Also included is one standout cover.

The album opens with the title track from the upcoming album, “Blue Dreams,” a blues rocker about being battered by life’s hardships, shattered dreams, and the stubborn will to keep moving forward, as Teskey sings, “Life hits me one more time, knocked me down again, I should pray, it’s worse than it’s ever been.”

“Lemon Tree” is a fiery electric reinterpretation of the acoustic original from their debut album, featuring blistering solos on this showstopper, as Teskey chimes, “My baby don’t want to go to sleep, she wants to shake my tree, all night long…she sets my world on fire, all night long.”

“Under the Sun” is a live version of Teskey’s breakthrough single, and it’s pure high-octane, as he chants, “You can tell, you can’t run from me…Under the sun, bless the thought, you can’t run from me.”

“Find Me When It’s Over” is a new song that grapples with the search for purpose in a chaotic world, as Teskey moans, “You’ll find me when it’s over, you’ll find me when it’s over.”

“Gave My Love Back to Me (The Answer)” is a soft, soulful, and deeply moving new ballad about love’s redemptive power, gratitude, and faith — a spirited prequel, as Teskey groans, “Love like yours helps me walk the line…Gave my love all back to me, you showed no mercy, you set me free.”

“Don’t Take My Angel” is a heartfelt prayer written when Teskey learned his wife had been diagnosed with cancer, as he pleads, “Don’t take it all, it’s no dream, God, don’t take her away from me, I pray don’t take her.”

“In the Garden Again” features Teskey as he blends folk-rock warmth with psychedelic imagery and a longing to return to a state of inner paradise, in a Garden of Eden–type world, as Teskey wails, “I said one more time, I won in your presence, in the garden of Eden.”

The lone cover, “Can’t Find My Way Home,” written by Steve Winwood and first performed by Blind Faith, features special guest lead vocalist Tony Noys as he belts, “Comd down off your throne, leave your body alone, somebody may change, you are the reason I waited so long, somebody holds the key…I’m wasted and I can’t find my way home.”

“Upside Down World,” another single, was originally a traditional slow blues on Teskey’s debut album. This live take lets the band stretch out and feel every note, with a great intro from Teskey, as he howls, “I was working but my world got turned upside down.”

On the title track from their debut, “White Wolf,” they revisit the fan favorite, now delivered with even greater live authority, as Teskey bursts, “I know I see you…you say, why not take me back again.”

On the closer, “Cast Aside Child,” a Hendrix-styled blues rocker, Teskey’s stinging lead explores themes of superficiality, rejection, and the ache of being disposable, as he croons, “Knock me around like a cast aside child…darkness at the crossroads, don’t look away, cast aside child.”

Half of Live at the Rhythm Room draws from White Wolf, while the other half is a preview of the upcoming Blue Dreams. Live at the Rhythm Room is a document of where the band has been and a bold statement of where it’s going.
