Making a Scene Presents Gerry Casey’s Interview with Will Scott of “The Now”
The Now are a band that right from the get go produce energy that’s of the scale. Their new EP The Truth Always Comes Out In The End is easily one of the most exciting pieces of high voltage pop/ rock I’ve heard in years. On tonight’s Turn It Up interview I spoke with Will Scott drummer with the band. Will tells his story of how he became involved with music and his joining as drummer for The Now .
4 Welsh lads which consider themselves as brothers on the rise to bring guitar music back to the ears of the consumers. The Now are making a massive impact in the UK with their music getting featured on ITV, BBC, Sky Sports, MTV and majority of local independent radio stations. The Now are even putting their feelers out to the other side of the ocean to the U.S with Steven Van Zandt founder Guitarist for Bruce Springsteen calling their single HOLY “The Coolest song in the World” and SIRUS XM featuring their track HOLY a numerous amount of times.
The Now’s infectious guitar heavy riffs and poetic lyrics has lead them to turn some heads in the music industry since August 2021. The band have managed to land themselves an independent record deal with the massive Golden Robot Records and to sign a new management deal with Gary Trew owner of Trew Music who has a history of working with some massive names in the industry.
After signing with Golden Robot Records The Now found themselves heading into Real World Studios to record their debut E.P (The Truth Always Comes Out In The End) which is Available May 2022. On February the 22nd the boys released their first single off their debut E.P called HOLY, the track making a massive impact got them some Major festival slots sharing stages with the likes of Placebo, Noel Gallagher and Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes. On the 25th of February 2022 the boys opened their local arena in Swansea being the first band to play the venue alongside 3 other acts and making it a sell out with over 2000 tickets sold.
