Dez Murphy is a quiet unassuming individual a soft spoken man but with a passion for the blues that burns like a raging inferno.
Dez for the last 20 years has kept the spirit of the blues alive and well in Monaghan town and surrounding areas. It’s people like Dez that we owe so much to, without their efforts and constant support a genre like the blues could easily fade out of an area . Thankfully not on Dez’s watch . So here’s to you Dez and the many people like you who year in year out keep the blues very much alive!
Dez. Murphy, guitarist/vocalist/songwriter is based in Co. Monaghan, & has always had a great a great love for the Blues, from attending London Blues Jams in the 80’s to hosting the very popular Monaghan Blues Jam which has now been running for over 12 years. Songwriting also keeps him busy with ten of his own self penned Blues Tracks on this latest album,
