George Gritzbach Full Circle
Full Circle
The thing l love about this job, is receiving music that’s completely new to me . A blank canvas so to speak . No preconceived ideas about either the album or the artist. Listening to this album one word comes to mind quality.
Each song is crafted with such feeling and passion, even the genres on this album blend so perfectly it’s really so hard to categorize the styles. There’s a mix of blues , soul, funk, country rock, and New Orleans flavored voodoo blues rock .
“One Race , Many Faces” has such powerful lyrics yet it can fill us with so much hope and joy . There’s the funny side of life highlighted with Cheap Thrill . Stand out track for me was the swamp blues Tony Joe White Influenced Black Rose . The lyrics just send chills down my spine.
Full Circle certainly delivers in spades. It’s most definitely an album I’ll be playing for quite a while to come .
