The Sanctity of Crows
The Sanctity Of Crows is the Solo Music Project by Ian A Napier, a Scottish musician. Ian has embarked on a solo music project called The Sanctity Of Crows. His music is a blend of complex, thematic, layered soundscapes, often leaning towards cinematic prog with a post-rock sensibility.
„The goal is to avoid being consciously derivative. I don’t want to shape things to fit any kind of norm. The music must become whatever it was meant to be,“ explains Ian.
And that’s exactly how he implemented this album! No kind of norm to find here, instead a Journey into sound with a gloomy touch. Six songs and each one is a musical masterpiece. Starting with „TheLight That Binds „ and what a way to start the album! Atmospheric and it reminds me a bit of Pink Floyd although Ian of course has his own style . The vibes are almost palpable in this song!
This Wasn’t What I Had In Mind just blows you away with a powerful rhythm, you better fasten your seat belt!
In The End It’s Just A Beginning the last track and it feels like everything is going to light up.
These are just three of the six songs and I can only recommend that everyone form their own opinion. For every music lover who doesn’t just want mainstream, the album is a must!
Discography:
* Amidst the Gloom (March 2024) – The debut album, a journey through dark and atmospheric soundscapes.
* Flowers Of The New Dawn (October 2024) – A symphonic exploration for electric guitars, divided into six distinct movements.

My first review! And wow – such nice things said. I really appreciate that you listened to my new album and that you enjoyed the music, but most of all that you took the time to write a review! I always love to hear what other people hear in my music, since I am too close to it to hear it like others would. It means a lot to me that you did this, Martina. Thank you! 👏🧡
