Eric Selby Where You Born At
Where You Born At
Eric Selby, based in Washington DC is an artist, producer and multi instrumentalist and single father of four wonderful daughters, a dog and a cat (who he himself thinks is a dog).
He published in 2020 his first solo original music as well as the EP “Do, Baby ” which was listed by Roots Music Report in the TOP 50 of Their National TOP
CONTEMPORARY FOLK ALBUM CHART’s “Best of 2020,as well as his other songs. He was named a finalist “by the WAMMIE AWARDS for” Best Folk Artist “.
The list of artists Eric has performed with reads like a who’s who of great musicians and this is just a small selection:
Ron Holloway (Warren Haynes, Dizzy Gillespie, The Allman Brothers, Sonny Rollins, Tedeschi / Trucks), Daryl Johnson (The Neville Brothers, Daniel Lanois, Emmylou Harris, U2, Bob Dylan), James East (Elton John, Lionel Richie, Eric Clapton).
And now we can finally enjoy “Where You Born At”, nine fabulous songs, released on June 11th, 2021.
Eric says about his album:
“Years ago, I was meeting with someone and was quite nervous thinking I wasn’t worthy of that person’s time. She walked in, smiled and said ‘Where you born at?’ My anxiety melted. It was a reminder that we’re all just humans trying to navigate this mortal coil. “
Cool tunes with a rocking note, varied and creative with awesome guitar riffs, mind blowing vocals and simply outstanding, that’s “Where You Born At” and Eric Selby
Highlight for me and absolutely brilliant is the first song “Another Page”, impressive lyrics, a song that each of us can identify with.
But every single song is an absolute delight for the ears and you really have to listen to the full album!
