Dylan Triplett Who is He
Who is He
Vizztone Label Group
Produced by bassist Larry Fulcher Triplett’s debut includes contributions from guitarist Johnny Lee Schell and on organ the late Mike Finnigan. The album was recorded at the Blue Lotus Studio in St. Louis. Other guitarists include Dr. Wayne Goins and special guests Chris-tone Kingfish Ingram, Sean McDonald, and St. Louis own Tru Born. Saxophones are played by Joe Sublett who also does the arrangements, and Art Wayne Pollard.
A sound that can best be described as moody, due to some fine alto sax that dominates Triplett’s 4 and a half octave vocal range. Born in St. Louis Triplett started singing at the age of nine, billed as Little Dylan, and began his professional career at fifteen. Goins is also credited as co-producer.
The ten-song album features originals mixed with covers including songs by Bill Withers, Marvin Gaye and Dylan scatting on Miles Davis’ classic “All Blues”. This is Triplett’s debut to what should be a long and successful career
