Making a Scene Presents an Interview with Evan Walton of Once More Autumn
Once More, Autumn is the brainchild of Minneapolis-based artist and songwriter Evan Walton. A transplant of Dayton, Ohio and a student of Berklee College of Music, Walton is dedicated to bridging indie-folk music with alternative soundscapes.
“Love is a Sea,” the debut release from Once More, Autumn, is due out in early September. With deeply personal lyrics that unfold through Walton’s melodies, the songs of this EP build on themes of loss, longing, and awakening. Recorded and produced in the Twin Cities by longtime friend Ro Lorenzen (Static Panic), this record is truly a collaborative effort. “Love is a Sea” features performances by Walton alongside Lorenzen, with additional vocals provided by Deanna DiLandro (Powerlines), and mastering work from Alec Ness (Dizzy Fae, Andrew Broder).
