John Primer “Hard Times” is produced by Rick Barnes at his Rax Trax Studio in Chicago. Featured are Primer’s brother Steve Bell, Harp; Lenny Media, drums; and Dave Forte, bass. Special guests include Rick Kreher, rhythm guitar, the sensational Johnny Iguana, piano; and Primer’s daughter Allya on one vocal. Primer is a twice nominated Grammy Artist.
Born in Camden MS. in 1945, Primer migrated to Chicago with his mother in 1963. Primer played the legendary club B.L.U.E.S. on Halsted, and later Theresa’s Lounge. He has been a band leader for Muddy Waters, Junior Wells, Willie Dixon, and Magic Slim. Primer was taught by the masters and is one of the last real deal blues men
