Heart of Reason

John Evans, singer/songwriter and producer, based in North Wales, just released his new album “Heart of Reason” in February 2022.

John started with a debut album after finishing school and art college together with two of his school friends Alan and Linda Thompson. “Magic Man EP” was released in 2010. After a few years with the band Redhill, which then broke up, he started the MK Band project, whose EP “Getting There” was eventually released last year.

After completing Harlech Music college and graduating from Chester University, he released  his self-produced album “Life on a Hawaiian beach” under the band name MK Ultra. The album is a collection of recordings made as and when the opportunities arose with many old friends and college friends appearing on the album. Several albums followed and now John presents us with his wonderful work “Heart of Reason”, nine songs as varied as the musical career of the artist himself.

 “Here Comes the Sun Again”, a wonderful start to the album and John makes it clear from the very first song what an incredible singer he is! This song is truly a bright start to the album.

“Loving Is Easy” is another song that sounds upbeat, is sung beautifully and suits John perfectly.

“Here’s Your Ticket Now”, a catchy song, great up-tempo work and proof that John Evans does a perfect job with the faster songs too.

“Can U Hear Me Now That You Gone”…..the first few lines of the wonderful song

“Can U Hear Me”, wow, here the presence of the artist’s fantastic voice is in the foreground and shows the full range of his skills.

This is a small selection of the album and should of course whet your appetite for more.
