Making a Scene Brings you an interview with Brad “Guitar” Wilson
Brad “Guitar” Wilson is quickly becoming a standout name in the modern blues rock scene, known for his fiery guitar work, soulful vocals, and magnetic stage presence. With a sound that blends classic influences and contemporary energy, Wilson continues to build a loyal fanbase across the U.S. and beyond.
Hailing from California, Brad began his musical journey immersed in the vibrant West Coast blues scene. Over time, he sharpened his skills, developed a signature sound, and built a reputation as a dynamic performer and songwriter.
In 2022, Wilson’s self-titled album Brad Guitar Wilson marked a major turning point in his career. Featuring the #1 blues rock single “Tales of Brave Ulysses,” the record propelled him into national and international recognition. The success led to widespread airplay and an extensive touring schedule that brought his music to fans across the globe.
Wilson followed up with Lovers Before Sunrise in 2023, a critically praised album that delivered three #1 radio hits in California and achieved strong chart placements worldwide. The record solidified his status as a rising force in blues rock. The Hollywood, California sessions for The Californian had the 2024 Blues Music award-winning drummer Tony Braunagel, and Santana band star keyboard player Chris Rhyne performing on “Summertime Blues,” Quincy Jones song “Love And Peace,” along with the Blues Classic “It Hurts Me Too.” New original songs on the album are the Wilson’s soon-to-be-on-radio songs: “Heartbreaker,” “Say You Wanna Dance,” “Back Roads,” “Lightning In A Bottle” and “Monterey.”
Whether headlining festivals or lighting up intimate clubs, Brad “Guitar” Wilson’s live performances are the heart of his artistry. With electrifying solos, crowd connection, and raw emotional energy, his shows are must-see experiences that convert first-time listeners into lifelong fans.
