Making a Scene Presents an Interview with David M’ore
David M’ore is a mystical guitar slinger with a sound rooted in tradition but forged in fire. Born in Argentina and raised on vintage vinyl, he picked up his first guitar at age eight — a gift from his godfather — and was instantly consumed by the raw power of the instrument. “The aggressive sound of the guitar drove me emotionally insane,” he recalls, crediting early influences like Johnny Winter for igniting his lifelong obsession.
By the early 1990s, M’ore had landed in Los Angeles with one goal: to shake up the music scene. Word quickly spread through the clubs about this enigmatic newcomer with blazing guitar chops, gritty vocals, and electrifying Blues-Rock energy. Musicians and audiences alike were drawn to his intense, high-octane performances and unmistakable stage presence.
Now based in Northern California, M’ore continues to evolve as both a performer and a recording artist. His second solo album, From the Other Side of the River, showcases a new level of six-string wizardry. Playing a custom Stratocaster built to his exact specifications, he shreds through original tracks and reimagined classics with equal passion and precision. “I love to pay tribute to those who influenced me,” says M’ore. “But at the same time, I stay true to who I am.”
His signature sound is a high-voltage blend of traditional blues, neoclassical hard rock, and pure guitar fury — drawing inspiration from legends like Jimi Hendrix, Ritchie Blackmore, Joe Satriani, Johnny Winter, Gary Moore, Albert King, and other titans of tone. Yet, David M’ore is no mere imitator. His style is uniquely his own, a fusion of soulful fire and technical mastery that feels both timeless and immediate.
Whether on stage or in the studio, David M’ore brings the spirit of a bygone era to life — with every riff, every solo, and every searing note reminding you that the guitar still has stories left to tell.
